During its 60th anniversary Ferretto Group introduced ‘Flexy’, a new generation pallet shuttle system. Flexy is a semi-automated storage system for the handling of pallets within racking channels in a compact way. The system is able to store and handle multiple articles. For a better weight distribution and a better traction in the channels Flexy is equipped with eight polyurethane wheels. The maximum weight capacity of the maintenance friendly system 1,500 kg.
The shuttle is equipped with, amongst others, a pallet detection sensor, navigation sensors and an emergency button. Flexy is controlled by Proface PLC with Ethernet communication port and also has a built-in operator panel.
The corresponding remote control with display is programmed in several languages and enables the user to operate up to 4 shuttles simultaneously. The remote control also keeps him informed about the status of the 24V lithium battery pack of each shuttle.
A Battery Balancing System (BBS) ensures an optimum support when discharging and drastic reduction in balancing time when charging is complete.
