Successful Dutch Championship at Herbalife

Bram ter Bruggen, forklift driver at Scania Truck Production, won the Dutch Championship for forklift drivers; the NKIT 2016. The 20th edition of this safety championship took place Saturday 18 June in the European DC of Herbalife in Venray, The Netherlands. Ter Bruggen was accompanied on stage by Leon van der Vorst, forklift driver at Aviko Rixona and Gonnie Blenkers from Mead Johnson who claimed the second and third place.

This year, 49 drivers competed for the title ‘Safest Dutch driver’. On five different courses the competitors were evaluated on their craftsmanship and a safe operation of internal transport trucks.

Places four and five of the NKIT 2016 were claimed by Jan Bokhorst and Ramon Leemeijer, the champion of 2015. Mark Paashuis won the price for ‘Best Newcomer’, with a notworthy 17th place. In total 11 drivers participated in the Champoionship for the first time this year.

The security championship is organized annually by Buro Andersom in Wehl, The Netherlands. The location where the NKIT takes place changes annually. This time Herbalife invited the event and thereby underlined the importance of safety, professionalism in warehouse operations.
