Marchon Eyewear, one of the world’s largest producers and distributors of quality eyewear and sunglasses, has automated its EMEA distribution centre in Amsterdam in collaboration with Inther Logistics Engineering.
A Stingray shuttle system, which provides automatic storage and processing of the glasses, is connected to the goods receiving, goods-to-man picking and packing stations by both roller conveyors and conveyor belts. For the picking process Inther implemented a pick to light system. The entire system is controlled by Warehouse Control System Inther LC.
