Traditionally, Jungheinrich unveils brand new products at LogiMAT. This year, the spotlight was on the EAE 212a. An Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) of the latest generation, including a newly developed Mobile Robot Control system and toolchain.
The new AMR provides horizontal transport of loads up to 1.2 tonnes and is extremely easy to integrate into any existing warehouse environment. No artificial landmarks are required for navigation. Thanks to the new modelling tool, deployment of the EAE 212a is possible within a few hours; For simple projects even within 30 minutes. The EAE can work stand-alone but can also be linked to an existing host system in the warehouse.
In addition, Jungheinrich literally gave a better insight into its PowerCube, last year’s exhibition novelty. The bin storage system operates from the bottom, offering numerous advantages, ranging from higher capacity, no restrictions from roof shapes or strict floor requirements. Thanks to its fully exposed setup, the PowerCube again attracted a lot of attention.
As automation is the future, Jungheinrich demonstrated its automated transport and storage system as it works at Dutch company Prodrive in Son. The interplay of AMRs for horizontal transport and the automated EKX combi-truck for storage and retrieval was noticeably liked by many visitors.
In a slightly smaller spotlight, but still brand new, was the new electric forklift series with the 3.5-tonne EFG 435 as an example. The fully decoupled cabin assembly provides extra comfort. The footspace has been increased and the roof pillars have been narrowed for extra all-round visibility.
The area of the panoramic roof is larger and thanks to camera system, visibility behind the truck is also optimal. The EFG series features new rail concepts for mounting additional equipment and is equipped with a sound module. This allows the driver to connect a telephone for music and communication.
Jungheinrich also showed its latest Fleet Management System (FMS) and WMS solutions. In short, no wonder the LogiMAT stand in Stuttgart was very busy for three days.
