Amazon will expand its logistics capacity in Europe substantially. In total real estate developer Goodman will deliver 137,000 sqm of new logistics space. The new space is divided into two logistics centers in the Hauts-de-France region in France. While an existing 30,000 sqm space will be leased in Lauwin-Planque, Goodman will develop a new logistics center of 107,000 sqm in Amiens.
For the new center Goodman aims for a BREEAM Very Good certificate. That’s why the center for example will be fully equipped with LED lights. Construction will start in early October. Completion is planned for September 2017.
Since 2006 Goodman yielded over one million square meters of logistics space across Europe for Amazon.
