‘Simplexity’ theme of World of Material Handling 2018

‘Simplexity. The Art of Smart Solutions’.  This is the motto of the intralogistics fair “World of Material Handling (WoMH)”.  The fair will be held from 4 – 15 June this year in Mannheim, Germany. How complex processes can be simplified is what over 30 international intralogistics providers will show there.

The WoMH is held for the third time this year and lasts 11 days. Place of action is the Maimarktgelände in Mannheim. There is 13,000 square meters of floor space available for over 30 exhibitors. Visitors are expected from more than 50 countries. Organiser and biggest exhibitor at the fair is Linde Material Handling.

Intelligent solutions

The trade fair focuses on companies looking for effective ways to tailor their logistics to the future.  Industrial processes are changing more and more as a result of increasing digitisation, cross-process networks, automation and robotics. But which technologies are suitable for ones own business operations? Individual products are no longer the only answer. Instead it’s all about solutions that make network processes possible.
Intralogistics providers show visitors how the increasing complexity of goods handling in Industry 4.0 can be controlled by intelligent processes, solutions and products. This makes intralogistics processes safer, faster and more efficient.

Special exhibition approach

Visitors are presented with these solutions in an unusual way. There are not only regular fair stands, but also live installations of practice-oriented processes, product presentations and tests, plenary events, workshops and personal exchange with experts. Even guided tours are a possibility. All of these gives visitors practical insights into the intralogistics of the future and the solutions to their questions.

Intelligent interaction

This approach also applies to the largest exhibitor Linde Material Handling. “At the fair we show live intralogistics processes. We demonstrate the intelligent interaction between new energy systems, digital applications, security technologies and automation,” says Tobias Zierhut, Vice President of Product Management Industrial Trucks – Warehouse at Linde Material Handling. “We support our customers from the planning stage to the execution of their projects. Based on actual needs, we offer solutions and products that are intuitive to use and easy to integrate into comprehensive systems and processes.”
